Your use of the Breakout Investors platform ("the Service") is governed by this Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described below.

1. Data Accessed

When you sign in using your Google account, Breakout Investors accesses the following Google user data through our authentication provider (Clerk):

• Your email address
• Your name (first and last)
• Your Google profile picture (avatar)

We also use Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage data, including pages visited, actions performed within the Service, device and browser type, and approximate geographic location derived from your IP address.

2. Data Usage

Google user data obtained through authentication is used solely to:

• Create and maintain your Breakout Investors account
• Identify you when you log in to the Service
• Display your name and profile picture within the platform
• Send you transactional communications related to your account and subscription

Google Analytics data is used in aggregate to understand how users interact with the Service, improve features, and diagnose technical issues. We do not use Google Analytics data to personally identify individual users.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your Google user data to any third party. We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Authentication provider (Clerk): Your Google profile information is processed by Clerk to manage your account and session. Clerk acts as a data processor on our behalf and is bound by appropriate data protection agreements.
• Payment processor (Stripe): Your email address may be shared with Stripe solely for the purpose of processing subscription payments and managing your billing relationship.
• Analytics (Google Analytics): Anonymized usage data is processed by Google Analytics in accordance with Google's data processing terms.
• Legal obligations: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.

No Google user data is shared with any third parties beyond those listed above, and sharing is strictly limited to what is necessary to provide the Service.

4. Data Storage & Protection

Your account data, including information obtained from Google, is stored securely by Clerk using industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/HTTPS). We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including:

• Encrypted storage of all account credentials and profile data
• Secure HTTPS connections for all data transmission
• Access controls that limit employee access to user data to only those with a business need
• Regular security reviews of our infrastructure and third-party service providers

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account data, including Google profile information, for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to provide the Service. If you cancel your subscription, your account data is retained for up to 90 days to allow for account recovery, after which it is deleted from active systems. Anonymized analytics data may be retained for longer periods in aggregate form.

You may request the deletion of your account and associated Google user data at any time by contacting us at admin@breakoutinvestors.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." We will process your request within 30 days and confirm once your data has been deleted. Note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.
